There is a lot of dark time in the Estonian climate. The problem of visibility in traffic during the dark hours is a serious one and it is increasingly affecting not only the autoroutes but also foot traffic. Various light vehicles have been developed which, thanks to electricity, develop significant speeds and move in the same space as the pedestrians. The reflector helps when exposed to a direct beam of light, but in low light, with poor visibility, a reflector may not be enough. The aim of my research is to combine lighting technology and outerwear for everyday safe traffic. The aim is to find a suitable lighting technology and its integration for the production of aesthetic and practical textile outerwear. Also taking into account the capacity and reasonable cost base of a small manufacturer, so that the work can have a real usable result.
