Barbara is a designer from Poland, whose collection “Empatia” is inspired by the Rorschach test. More specifically, it is about how, in the case of abstract shapes, most people recognize the same objects. Her work aims to show the process of how what we perceive as flaws can transform into something beautiful. Thanks to the oversized cuts and abstract shapes, her garments fit almost any body type. The designer is constantly looking for new sustainable solutions that she can apply in the production process of her projects. She ensures that her production is based in Europe and designs samples in such a way that waste is minimized or avoided entirely. After creating a collection, she keeps fabric leftovers for use in future projects. The leather used in the creation of shoes for this collection comes from discarded samples originally made for luxury brands in Italy. More than 95% of her creations are one-of-a-kind pieces, and they are available for rent. She always makes sure that her clients know that if the product needs repair, they can send it to her, and she will fix any damage to restore its former glory.
