Pallase graduate Brigitte Mihkelson’s collection tells the story of the symbiosis between Estonian sheep wool and PLA filament. Starting from the soft, draping nature of wool knitwear and the structurality of 3D printing, the works achieve an otherworldly yet familiar composition. The nature of the knits is slightly perceptible, but somewhat distorted, reaching its full potential through modular details. The visual inspiration for the creation of modular details is drawn from natural structures according to their purpose.
