The delicate lace mittens of the Mulgi region embody a feminine beauty that Heleri Jürisson sought to revive in a contemporary context through her fashion collection. “Pilvepits” is designed for women who appreciate femininity. The collection is created to stand the test of time—its cuts are classical and feminine, made distinctive by the materials. The designer uses silk-mohair blend yarn and merino yarn, which give the garments a light and airy quality, while linen warp threads add structure to the designs. In developing her collections, she also incorporates woolen items sourced from second-hand shops. She aims to preserve them as much as possible, enhancing their appearance by knitting new collars, sleeves, or ribbed details from high-quality yarn. Heleri continues to use materials from second-hand shops in her work and redesigns garments, giving them a new life. Heleri Jürisson participated in the festival in 2023.
