The collection [väraval] draws inspiration from 19th-century kaapot dresses and Scottish tartan fabrics. From the former, it borrows the overall silhouette and details, while the latter is reflected in the patterns of the fabrics used. Positioned between the old and the new, [väraval] brings ancestral fashion garments into the 21st century. No garment is produced for stock; instead, each piece is made according to need or commission, with a specific individual in mind. [väraval] is Ingeri’s first collection, and she has not previously worked as a designer. She makes use of fabrics already in her possession as much as possible, focusing on quality over quantity.
