Kiharhair creates handmade hair accessories using only wood offcuts — material that is often left aside in industry due to its irregularity or is no longer needed after garden work. These very pieces often carry the most beautiful patterns and stories.

Meaningful design is born when a good idea, a diverse toolbox and thoughtful execution come together. Wood designer Markus Meldo and brand designer Mirell Šmidt have created a collection that is both visually captivating and carefully considered in its content.

The brand’s product range includes hair sticks, hair forks, clips and earrings.

Only wood offcuts are used, sourced for example from garden work or as by-products of the woodworking industry. In making the accessories, the authors prefer traditional craft techniques and hand tools, and the pieces are produced in small quantities according to zero-waste principles. The upcycling of wood offcuts and a slow handmade process are at the heart of the entire creative process.
