Liina Kulu’s knitwear brand ITO is defined by uniqueness. This is reflected both in the patterns and cuts used in the knitwear and in the way the pieces are created. The patterns are the designer’s original work, combining elements of knitting traditions characteristic of both Estonia and Japan. The cuts of the kimono jackets and dresses are innovative from a knitwear perspective, as the fundamental structure of the traditional Japanese kimono is created directly on the knitting needles. All products by the brand are hand-knitted, made according to the principles of slow fashion, and produced as one-of-a-kind pieces.

The designer collaborates with the Haapsalu Lace Centre, and her collection is inspired by the patterns of the traditional Haapsalu shawl. She knits all pieces herself and uses yarn selected for durability and shape retention, ensuring a longer lifespan for each garment. She also offers care and repair services to wearers. All products are timeless in design, supporting the values of slow fashion.
