Mari Yoda
Mari Yoda creates women's occasionwear drawing inspiration from Estonian folk costume and its regional variations. Her collection reinterprets the embroidery motifs and garment forms of different parishes in a contemporary key, bringing the heritage of folk dress into modern bridal wear. Airy materials such as tulle lend the pieces a sense of celebration and create a dialogue between traditional ornament and contemporary garment form.
The designer uses hand-embroidered patterns in her work and favours local materials, secondhand textiles, and mono-materials. Fabric offcuts find use in new details and accessories, and the garments are made to last and can be adapted by the wearer as needed.
Mari Yoda will participate in the OmaMood fashion show in 2026.
