Rūta Kusaitė is a Lithuanian fashion designer whose work is inspired by architecture and cultural heritage. Her collection "MODERNE" is a tribute to the interwar modernist architecture of Kaunas, which was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2023. The collection reinterprets architectural forms and details in the construction of the garments, the colour palette, and decorative elements such as embroidery, quilted surfaces, and metal details.

The garments in the collection are made primarily from wool, whose durability and structure help bring out an architectural design language. Recycled elements are also incorporated, such as repurposed metal tins finished with a glass-like effect. In her work, the designer draws on the use of more natural and long-lasting materials and experiments with various ways of integrating fabric offcuts and recycled materials into the collection.

Rūta Kusaitė will participate in the Antonius fashion show in 2026.
