Claudia Lepik is a jewellery artist interested in pushing the boundaries of jewellery in terms of both scale and materials. She is particularly fascinated by creating face and nose jewellery, as well as flirting with theatrical fashion, which allows her to explore the wearer’s entire body and create a dialogue between it and the chosen materials. The primary material in her large-scale works is brass, which is treated in various ways to create a garment-like impression from a distance—while up close, the rigidity and strength of the metal become apparent. In addition to artistic and large-scale pieces, Claudia seeks ways to translate her distinctive details into everyday jewellery. As a small-scale producer, she works at a measured pace, overseeing the entire process herself and creating pieces intended to be passed down through generations. She also aims to reduce material waste generated through packaging and shipping. Claudia Lepik participated in the festival in 2023.
